At the Cross

Happy Easter everyone!

In the last couple of weeks the confectionary section in supermarkets have been stocked with chocolate bunnies and easter eggs. With everything being commercialised its easy to forget what Easter is actually about. So while you participate in various activities like egg hunting or indulge in chocolate easter eggs or hot-cross buns this weekend I would like to share with you what Easter means to me.

  • Its a reminder that Jesus Christ sacrificed himself so you and I could be FREE. Free from fear, guilt & whatever is holding you down. He was beaten, bruised and pierced for our sins. He did it willingling so that you may have eternal life. He chose to endure the cross and its shame to SAVE you. For me thats the ultimate proof of love.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.   John 3:16

  •  I frequently fall short of Gods Standards and rather than getting the punishment I deserve. He forgave me and thought I was worth dying for…let that sink in.. JESUS LOVES YOU that much.
  •  Not only did Jesus Die on the cross but the good news was that God raised him from the dead. He overcame the grave. The grave could not hold him down. Christ conquered!

And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. Romans 8:11

  • Today is the day we celebrate!  The grave could not hold Jesus, and because of that, there is nothing that can hold you back from living in the freedom of resurrection and new life. We can live confident and courageously in Christ.

Nobody has ever loved us like Jesus, and nobody ever will. Here are two  amazing songs I  recommend you give a listen to : The first Hillsong- At the Cross  and the second Chris Tomlin- At the Cross. Have you noticed they have the same title but are totally different 😉?

Remember Jesus LOVES you!

Grosses Bises,

Michelle
