Inventory Check – August

Hello there.

I hope you are all doing well. I haven’t done a monthly recap from the first time I posted Inventory Check- March. I hope to be a little more consistent in the future. August went by supper fast, time does fly when you are having fun.

I realised how small incremental changes can make a big difference in due time.

A quote that stood out the most: Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. –Melody Beattie.

My verse of the month– Ephesians 6: 11. Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. I taught Vacation Bible School at church for a week. The theme was on the Full armour of God. Lets just say when you teach you also learn a lot. I learnt so much form the kids and also the time spent in preparations for VBS. I had never really dug deep into putting on the full armour of God until VBS preparations.

Drinking– WATER!!! I have had so much orange Fanta lately. I know for a fact I need this water therapy!!

EatingCake that I just baked a couple minutes ago

Enjoying-Being home with my lovely family and spending time with family and friends. making the most of being home as my holiday is slowly coming to an end.

Feeling: grateful, happy, excited and love.

Smelling– Freshly brewed coffee. I am not really a coffee person but I do acknowldege the smell of really good coffee.

Making– A checklist of things I need to do and acquire before I head back to Uni.

ReadingBook Learning by Karen Kingsbury.  Article on the web Letter to my 26-Year-Old self  from the boundless show.

Listening to i)music No longer Slaves  ii) Pet parrot whistling away. African greys are pretty intelligent, we are trying to get it to expand its vocabulary.

Writing– More consistently in my One line a day book. Some days I have so much to write and some days not so much. It’s one of the neatest journals I have.

WatchingMovie– Miracles from heaven. It was a lovely reminder that God is so good!!  Series – Catching up on When Calls the Heart Season 2. I love period dramas and the Hallmark channel. When calls the heart is a family friendly show. Not many family friendly shows out there these days.

Been Playing– Dobble!! This is such a fun game.  Our latest addition to the game-day  collection. Has anyone else played it?

Giggling- At this video and many more of this cute toddler that loves golf. He is using ice cubes haha, ice golf anyone??. Children are so smart.

Marvelling– At just how talented my mama is. I learnt how to make a flower basket cake. All out of buttercream icing. Please do take a peek.

Thankful for– The new friendships I have formed with awesome people this holiday.

Sending you lots of love for the month of September and beyond. I also hope you get to accomplish the goals you have set.

Grosses bises,

Michelle

  1. My sisters and I watched When Calls the Heart last year….you’re right about there being a shortage of good family shows like that these days.

Oh and I’ve played “Dobble”, only in the U.S. it’s called “Spot It”, same game with all the same pictures tho. We brought it to Uganda and have been playing it, too!!

AND THAT CAKE LOOKS LIKE IT BELONGS IN MY MOUTH!!! That basket pattern is so cool! Great job, Michelle!
