On several occasions the red plate makes an appearance on our dinning table. It all started a couple of years ago roughly ten years hmmm might not count as couple years but anyways… My mum introduced the red plate tradition to the family after listening to a particular podcast on Focus on the family.
The Red Plate acknowledges a family member’s special victories.ππΎππππ.Β You are eligible to eat on the red plate when its your Birthday π, when you passed your exams, got a promotion at work, made Professor Associate, published a journal article, good behaviour*for the wee ones π*, acceptance letters from Universities, graduationπ, Mothers day & Fathers day, completing a tedious task and the list goes on and on.
The Red plate is a special item in our home thatβs generated family traditions π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦. Red plate meals are not only a celebration for me but also a visible expression of love, support and encouragement. It makes the red plate user feel a little extra special. I think it is one of the coolest family traditions.Β As I grow older I realise the importance of family dinners. Just bonding time at the dinner tableβ¦ with my sister chatting more than she eats *haha I love you!!*
Cheers to celebrating many more red plate dinners with our loved ones.πππππππ
Is there anyone else that has a Red plate tradition or would like to introduce it to his or her family special times?
Thank you for reading.
Grosses bises,
Michelle.
I love podcasts too, they got me through slow days at work and there are so many podcasts discussing so many different things that there is definitely something for everyone! I’ve never heard of the red plate before but it sounds like a great way to recognise someone’s achievements!
Have a great day!

Awesome! That’s a good question, I have never really thought about it. Maybe getting a second red plate.

That is something to think about. I suppose a second red plate but hopefully there would not be many such incidences.
